Ivey Doubles Up Twice

Ivey: has a lot of work to do
Ivey: has a lot of work to do
Phil Ivey is hanging in there, currently on 9,000 in chips after managing to double up after the dinner break.

Ivey first ran his {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} into an opponent's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}, but there was no freerolling moment for either player when the board was spread {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, giving Ivey and his adversary an equal share of the pot.

Ivey then got his money in with {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} against another opponent's {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, but the flop was a nasty {k-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, putting the opponent in the lead with two pair.

However the railbirds were relieved to see the {5-Diamonds} fall on the turn, putting Ivey back out in front with the flush. No two-outer this time - a harmless {4-Spades} bricked on the river to see Ivey double up.
