David Steicke struck a bit of fortune in a recent hand.

Preflop, Josh Wilson opened the button to 6,000, with David Steicke three-betting from the small blind. Wilson made the call and the flop came {7-Hearts}

Steicke led 3,000 and Wilson flat called. The turn was the {8-Clubs}

and again Wilson flat called a 6,000 lead from Steicke.

On the river {6-Diamonds}

things got interesting. Steicke checked, and Wilson bet out 6,000. Thinking that Steicke had already called the bet Wilson turned over his {Q-Diamonds}

. It was then revealed that Steicke was still in the tank considering the call.

With the added information Steicke made the call, turning over just {A-Spades}

for ace high. Enough to beat Wilson out of the pot.
