It Had to End Eventually ...

Barry Woods: 2 def. Martin Gudvangen: 1

It was only a matter of time before this match would end, although Gudvangen did manage to double up again before eventually being crippled and busted by Woods.

Gudvangen got his money in light with {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} against Woods' {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but Gudvangen hit two pair on the board of {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} to double up.

A couple of hands later, Woods crippled Gudvangen down to just 1,100 in chips when the money went all in on a flop of {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}; Woods tabled {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} but had to dodge the straight draw outs against the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} of Gudvangen.

The turn of the {j-Spades} and the river {7-Clubs} weren't any of those outs that Gudvangen was looking for.

Woods looked down at {J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} the next hand and put the 1,100 all in (which Gudvangen was committing no matter what, as he was leaning over the table ready to drop it into the middle).

Gudvangen tabled {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the board - incredibly - ran out {4-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. Thus endeth Gudvangen's godlike run.

Woods advances to the final while Gudvangen will be playing the loser of the Darren Woods/Kyle McMurphy semi-final in the third place playoff.
