Deckert Picked Off

Chris Deckert is taking the day off from field reporting for PokerNews and playing in the event today. He just tried to bluff seventh street with his board reading (X-X){K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{A-Clubs}(X). His opponent called and held a pair of aces, finishing off with {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}({A-?}{10-?}{8-?}).

Deckert didn't show and dropped to 15,120 chips.

Boxell to the Top

Leo Boxell is up to a field-leading 35,320 after taking down some big pots against Luke McLean. On the last one we caught the end, Boxell won a 4,000-chip pot with trip eights. Boxell didn't know he had trip eights though and missed a chance to bet on the end. McLean on the other hand is down to 11,580.

Boxell Thinks Online Poker is Slow

Leo Boxell, David Steicke and Mel Judah were just chatting about how the PokerPro tables were meant to be like online poker.

"They're meant to be like online, but they're not," said Steicke.

"Online is too slow," responded Boxell. "I can't play when it's so slow.

"That's why you need to play four tables at once," said Steicke.

"I'm not that good," chuckled Boxell.

Judah's Flush is Good

Leo Boxell: (X-X){Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}(X)
Mel Judah: (X-X){2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}(X)

Boxell bet fourth and Judah called. On fifth, Boxell check-raised Judah and Judah called. On sixth, Boxell bet and Judah called. Both players then checked seventh street.

Boxell didn't show as his hand was mucked. He could beat Judah's flush as he turned up {5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Judah is up to 23,000 while Boxell is on 26,745.

Showing Off Triple Threes

John Joannou: (X-X){3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}(X)
Vic Thorton: (X-X){10-Hearts}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}(X)

Joannou bet fourth street and was called by Thorton before the two checked until seventh. On seventh, Joannou fired and Thorton folded. Joannou showed the table that he had {J-?}{10-?}{3-?} in the hole for trip threes as he moved to 25,000 chips.
