Hamagami Surges To Chip Lead

Peter Rho opened with yet another 4,500 raise from under-the-gun and found callers in Clark Hamagami, Rayan Nathan and Jonathan Karamalikis.

Everyone checked the flop of {4-Hearts}

and when the {J-Spades}

landed on the turn Karamalikis and Rho checked before Hamagami led out for 10,500. Nathan folded, and Karamalikis raised it to 28,500. Once Rho was out of the way Hamagami made the call.

The river fell the {8-Hearts}

and after Karamalikis checked, Hamagami slid three stacks of chips into the middle for a bet of 50,000. Karamalikis thought for a little before eventually mucking.

With that hand Hamagami took the chip lead jumping to 148,000 as Karamalikis slipped down to 117,000 in chips.
