We are just about to tick into hour ten of this tournament and here is a quick update.
Of the starting 126 players only 32 remain with Nik Lackovic sitting on top with 75,000 chips. With an average chip stack of 27,000 there is still a lot of play left in the day.
Grab the popcorn and the caffeine because its going to be a long night as we play down to the final table.
Neil Channing put his final chips into the middle with from the small blind and was called by Marek Kolk in the big blind holding . The board brought no help to Channing as he made his exit from the tournament area.
Catching the board on the turn with it reading Larry Karambis led out for 5,000. With the action on Jonathan Karamalikis he min-raised to 10,000 which was immediately followed by Karambis moving all in.
Karamalikis insta-called tabling for a flopped set while Karambis showed . The turn fell a meaningless and Karamalikis moved to just under 70,000 as Karambis dropped to 30,000.
Sam Khouiss opened to 2,100 from the cutoff and found no action.
He quickly tabled and said, "Oh s**t, I thought we were playing Baccarat!"
The conversation continued between him and Grant Levy for a little while. "The other day I was dealt aces three times in a row . . . it was no use though, it was on the Baccarat table" responded Khouiss. Levy followed with, "Double down?" obviously having a crack at Khouiss.
Khouiss stared at Levy shaking his head, "Have you even played Baccarat? . . . What's your biggest bet?". With no real response from Levy, play continued with Khouiss obviously itching for some natural nine action soon.
