Phan's Turn to Double

There's been a fair bit of early action here in Macau. Young Phan got in on it during a three-way hand with Tony Dunst and Corwin Cole. On a flop of {J-Diamonds} {2-Clubs} {6-Clubs}, Cole checked before Phan bet 500. Dunst folded, prompting Cole to check-raise to 1,700. Phan studied the board for a few moments before moving all in for about 6,000 total. Cole snap-called.

"Oh, I like your hand better," said a surprised Phan before the cards were tabled. His {Q-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} was in a virtual flip against Cole's {j-Clubs} {9-Clubs}. The board blanked out {6-Spades} {5-Hearts} to secure the victory for Phan. He now has about 12,500 chips.

Cole is down to 3,400.
