Schmejkal Takes a Few Hits

Easy come, easy go for Moritz Schmejkal. He recently lost a huge pot with the same pocket kings that helped build his stack.

Joon Hee Yeah opened the pot with a raise from middle position before Schmejkal reraised from the small blind. When action got back to Yeah he shoved all in. Schmejkal snap-called with his kings, a big favorite against Yeah's pocket nines.

Everything looked great for Schmejkal through the turn, {7-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} {4-Hearts}. Then disaster struck when Yeah hit his two-outer on the river with the {9-Hearts}.

"What the hell!" shouted an observer from the rail as the pot was pushed to Yeah. He now has about 108,000, while Schmejkal has dropped back to 50,000.
