The Portaro/Rimamaaki Show

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Everytime we pass Table 8 we seem to always catch a hand between Bruno Portaro and Ia Rimamaaki.

In the most recent one, the player under the gun opened to 1,400. Portaro then raised it up to 3,200 from middle position and was called by Rimamaaki on the small blind. The original raiser got out of the way leaving the two others to see the flop come down {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Portaro threw out a continuation bet and was almost beaten to the pot by Rimamaaki who moved all in for his last 11,400 in chips. Portaro didn’t seem impressed but made the call.

Portaro: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Rimamaaki: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Rimamaaki had the better kicker and would hold to win the pot when the {9-Spades} and {5-Clubs} completed the board.

Portaro drops down to 7,000 in chips. Rimamaaki rises back up to 35,000 in chips.
