Soshnikov All Smiles

Toby Lewis opened the action for 400, picked up one caller and then faced a three-bet to 1,500 from small blind Ivan Soshnikov. The big blind folded but, with chips in the middle and a pot to contest, the other players put out the required amount.

A flop of was met with a continuation bet of 1,500 from Soshnikov and two folds as the pot was pushed his way. Soshnikov suddenly became animated and took his earphones out as he saw the other player was a fellow Russian friend and he was laughing appearing to indicate that he hadn’t expected that result or wasn’t completely aware that he was still in the hand.
