Cheong Gets There

A big roar was just heard in the tournament room as Joseph Cheong won big all in. We rushed over to the table, and Cheong explained what happened.

Cheong raised under the gun to 725 and two players made the call. The flop brought out {A-Spades}{Q-}{3-Spades} and Cheong checked. The first caller bet 2,000 and the second one opted to raise to 5,000. Cheong had {A-}{Q-} and he decided to three-bet to 14,400. The first player moved all in for a total of 15,875, and he was called in two spots.

On the turn a red {9-} showed up, and Cheong put his opponent all in for right around 16,000 chips. After a while he folded, and later claimed to have had {K-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Cheong was up against {3-}{3-}, and hit a {q-} on the river to complete his full house. He took down this big pot and is closing in on the six-figure mark.
