Back to Basic

Brendon Rubie was knocked down to around 10,000 chips early on, but he managed to fight his way back up.

Rubie saw a {Q-}{J-}{8-} flop with two spades holding {9-Spades}{6-Spades}, and his check-raise was called. On the turn a {7-} showed up adding extra outs to Rubie's hand. He moved all in for right around 9,000 chips and his opponent called with {Q-}{10-}.

Rubie was in bad shape, but the river brought a {5-} giving him a straight. The young Aussie pro doubled up, and is back up to the starting stack.
