Three-bet Buchanan at Your Peril

Shawn Buchanan won a decent pot without having to showdown after he was three-bet by Thomas Ward.

Buchanan opened to 1,200 from mid position and called after the Kiwi three-bet to 2,900 from the small blind. Ward then gave up the initiative by checking all three streets of a board. Buchanan picked up the aggression baton by betting 2,800, 6,800 and 17,000 on each street. Ward called all the way to the river but forcefully mucked his cards on the river.
