Demicki Sets Up Tan

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tai Tan raised to 12,000 from under the gun plus one and was called by Daniel Demicki who was on the button.

After the flop came down {4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades} Tan threw out a continuation bet totalling 13,000 in chips. Demicki then raised it up to 32,000 and was called shortly after.

Tan instantly bet out 45,000 when the dealer produced the {2-Spades} on the turn and Demicki complied with a call shortly after.

The {K-Hearts} completed the board and Tan checked. Demicki sat motionless for a minute before sliding out a bet of 55,000. Tan tanked for a minute and called only to muck his hand when Demicki turned over his {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a set of fours.

David Evans Eliminated in 17th Place {KRW 7,570,000)

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
David Evans
David Evans

David Evans opened to 18,000 from under the gun as the action folded around to Jason Mo in the cut off. He made the call as the other players in the hand got out of the way.

The flop came down {9-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and the option was on Evans. However, he didn't realise that, and there was a pause for several minutes. Finally Mo looked over at his opponent and told him it was on him.

Evans then instantly bet out 25,000 and sat there calmly. Mo then moved all in and was called almost instantly.

Mo: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Evans: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Unfortunately for Evans he had flopped top two pair but had run into the bottomm set held by Mo. The board ran out the {2-Spades} and {q-Diamonds} to see the Australian eliminated in 17th place.

Yokosawa Doubles Through Beattie

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Kelvin Beattie raised to 16,000 from the cut off and watched as Masato Yokosawa moved all in for his remaining 142,000 from the big blind.

With the decision back on Beattie, he pondered over his decision for over a minute, before finally making the call.

Beattie: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Yokosawa: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Beattie was able to flop top pair but it was way behind to Yokosawa’s flopped set of eights. The board ran out the {10-Diamonds} and {5-Clubs} to see Yokosawa collect a much needed double up and leaving Beattie to drop down to 80,000 in chips.

Daniel Demicki

Masato Yokosawa raised to 19,000 from the cut off. Daniel Demicki was seated on the big blind and bumped it up to 44,000 . Yokosawa took awhile to make his decision but made the call before both players watched the flop come down {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

A pair of checked followed before the dealer produced the {5-Clubs} on the turn. Demicki then led out for 44,000 and was called as the {3-Hearts} then completed the board.

Both players then thought for a minute each but both checked before Demicki rolled over his {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for a pair on the river. Yokosawa then mucked his hand, much to the surprise of everyone on the table.
