E-Lim-Inating The Competition

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Andrei Kaigorodtcev - Eliminated
Andrei Kaigorodtcev - Eliminated

Naoya Kihara opened to 4,600 from middle position. Andrei Kaigorodtcev looked down at his cards from the next seat over and shipped all in for his last roughly 48,000. It folded around to Aaron Lim in the blinds who flat called. Kihara got rid of his cards and the hands were turned over.

Lim: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Kaigorodtcev: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The two were racing going to the flop where the dealer spread out {9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Kaigorodtcev retained his lead and held it even through the {5-Spades} on the turn. The {K-Hearts} on the river, however, spelled disaster for Kaigorodtcev as he suddenly had the second best hand and was eliminated from play. Lim scooped up his chips and is now sitting on 190,000.
