Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We arrived at the table to see Derek Cheung move all in with the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} on a flop showing {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}, and getting called by David Man, who had the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Hearts} and the {5-Clubs} to see Cheung eliminated from the tournament, as Man moves up to 395,000 in chips.

Show Me the Heart

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With the flop showing {5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, the player in the big blind checked, before the player in the hijack bet out 12,000. Andrew Scott was also in the hand, and called from the button, as did the big blind, before the {8-Hearts} fell on the turn. A collection of checks saw the {k-Hearts} complete the board, as one-by-one they all checked again.

“Look at that board, mannnn!” joked Scott, as he was the last player to check. “Show me the heart,” he added, as the first player tabled his {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. “And you?” he asked, as the other player showed his {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. “Yes!” he concluded, as he rolled over his {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for the best hand.

The small pot sees Scott move up to 230,000 in chips.

All The Chips

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With eight tables remaining, it appears that most of the events biggest stacks have been moved to the same table. It will be interesting to watch as these big stacks clash, with just under a level-and-a-half of play to go!

Troyanovskiy Eliminates Opponent

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The action folded around to the player in the hijack, who moved all in for his last 38,200 in chips. Vladimir Troyanovskiy asked for a count from the cut-off, before making the call, as the rest if the table folded.

Troyanovskiy: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades} to see Troyanovskiy add some more chips to his large stack.

Cui Leads

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With the flop reading {10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}, Yan Cui checked from the big blind, as Roger Spets threw out a bet of 8,800 from his immediate left. Cui quickly raised to 18,000, and was called, as the turn fell the {3-Hearts}. Cui then confidently bet out 30,000, which was a little less than what Spets had behind. A minute passed before Spets moved all in for 45,000, which was snap-called.

“You have a set?” asked Spets.

“Yeah!” responded Cui, as he tabled his {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Spets was out of his chair and almost out of the room, when the dealer exposed the irrelevant {K-Clubs} on the river.

With that elimination, Cui moves up to 360,000 in chips.

Li Doubles

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The player in late position opened to 4,000, before a short-stacked Bjorn Li, moved all in for his last 15,000 from the hijack. He was called instantly, as both players tabled their cards.

It was Li’s {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} versus his opponent’s {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, and the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to see him move back up to 35,000.

Im Doubles

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action started with the player under the gun opening to 4,200 before facing a raise to 9,100 from Vivian Im in the hijack. He made the call, as both players saw the flop come {7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. A check saw Im bet out 9,000, before her opponent looked over at her stack, and announcing all in. The bet covered Im, who made the call, as both players tabled their cards.

Im: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Opponent: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Im’s opponent made the move with a double gut-shot straight draw, and made it, when the {8-Diamonds} fell on the flop. Im was in trouble, but the {5-Diamonds} came on the river, to give her the jack-high flush, boosting her up to 105,000 in chips.

Westmorland on the Incline

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The table folded around to Jordan Westmorland in the hijack, who opened to 4,000, and was eventually called by Tobin Ryall in the big blind. The flop came down {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, and Ryall check-called a bet of 4,400 as both checked the {Q-Spades} on the turn. A third check from Ryall came as the {J-Spades} completed the board, prompting Westmorland to bet out 5,700. Ryall made the quick call, but mucked his hand when Westmorland tabled his {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}.
