Feldman Picks Up Aces

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

In the very next hand after being crippled by aces, Joel Feldman picked them up and used them to double through Yu Liang.

It happened when Liang limped under the gun and then called Feldman's shove after action folded back to him. Liang, who held the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, laughed when Feldman revealed the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. The board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Spades} and Feldman received a much-needed double.

Huge Double for the Team PokerStars Pro

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

As we were returning from our last round of chip counts, we noticed Mikael Thuritz had the all-in "triangle of death out in front of him and Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov was contemplating what to do. There was about 300,000 in the pot on a board reading {3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and Katchalov had 276,000 behind.

A couple of minutes ticked by, but eventually Katchalov dropped in some chips to signify a call. Thuritz's face dropped and Katchalov must have known he was good as he tabled the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks. Indeed it was good as Thuritz mucked his hand and sent the majority of his chips over to the Team PokerStars Pro.

Yong and Hu Hit the Rail

Level 6 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy has been on fire here on Day 1, and his heater stayed true in a recent hand against Wai Kin Yong.

It happened when action folded to Troyanovskiy on the button and he raised to 16,000. Yong then pushed all in for roughly 120,000 from the small blind, the big folded, and Troyanovskiy spiked in a call.

Troyanovskiy: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Yong: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Yong simply shook his head upon discovering the bad news. His pocket pair would need a third if he hoped to survive, but it wasn't in the cards as the board ran out {4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Meanwhile, Jack Hu has also been eliminated from the tournament.
