Sameer Takes It Down
We arrived at the table to see Indian Sameer Rattonsey all in for his tournament life on a flop of . We’re not sure how the pot had ballooned so quickly, but Rattonsey was all in for 54,500 following a bet of 16,200 from an early position player, and a third player was deep in the tank.
The player eventually folded, but the early position player called with for the overpair as Rattonsey showed for a pair and flush draw. Meanwhile the tanker was beside himself as he claimed to have folded pocket aces.
That didn’t matter when the appeared on the turn to complete Rattonsey’s flush. He didn’t want to see anymore spades though, and the river was nice and safe for the double up.
