Suck, Re-Suck and Guzzardi Doubles Through Hale

After Jhana Hale opened with a raise to 23,000 from middle position, Michael Guzzardi reraised all in for 141,000 from the hijack seat. Action folded back to Hale. He got the count, then called. Unfortunately, he saw the bad news as he was behind. Hale held the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and Guzzardi the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Hale spiked a queen to move in front. Guzzardi still had outs to a king for a better pair or a jack for a straight.

The turn delivered with the {K-Hearts} for Guzzardi was he was back in the lead. The river landed with the {4-Diamonds} and completed the board. Guzzardi successfully doubled and is back over 300,000 in chips.

Outside of this deep APPT run, Guzzardi has run well in two other APPT Main Events. In 2008, he took 10th in the APPT Sydney event for AUD $28,000. In 2011, he took 15th in the APPT Melbourne event for AUD $15,300.
