McLean McGone

Early in the day and we have what seems to be one of the first eliminations.

We came to Ben McLean's table with a flop showing {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and with McLean in the hand against Japan's Takuya Kikuchi. McLean was first to act and threw out 5,500. Kikuchi then popped it to 16,500 which sent McLean deep into the tank.

Eventually McLean decided to put his tournament life on the life, nudging his stack into the middle of the felt. It was only a little more than his Kikuchi's raise and when the player flicked in enough to call, the two turned their hands over.

McLean's {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} would need some help against the {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} of Kikuchi and then the turn and river ran out the {q-Clubs} and the {9-Clubs}, it was all over for McLean as the Aussie now has plenty of time left to explore Seoul.
