Get Ready For The Final Day 1 Flight!
The PokerStars.net APPT Melbourne kicked off yesterday at 6:10 PM local time to accomodate as many players as possible. Today, on the second and final Day 1 flight, play will start at the usual time for poker events; noon.
Yesterday the field drew a crowd of 98, and at that time there were already 120 players registered for today. The event has eclipsed the 200-player mark, and things are looking good compared to last year when 260 players competed. Late registration will be open during the first four levels of play.
Defending champ, Leo Boxell, is looking to play today, and both Van Marcus and James Obst are also expected to join the action. Just like yesterday there will be seven 60-minute levels to be played without a dinner break. This will get the players out the door around 8 PM.
