One Round Penalty For Bentley

Wayne Bentley just received a one-round penalty for calling out of turn in a situation where there were still two players with action.

Bentley raised it up to 25,000 from the hijack after which Tom Grigg three-bet to 58,000 from the cutoff. Gary Benson folded his button, and the action was on Tam Truong in the small blind.

At this point Bentley thought the action was on him. While Truong was still tanking, Bentley opted to call, and the dealer told made him aware of the situation. Bentley apologized and Truong had the rules explained to him. If he would call Bentley's bet would stand, but if he decided to raise Bentley would be able to take his money back, in case he wanted to do that.

Truong then slid out a big stack of 150,000, and the action went to Ismail Ismail in the big blind. He pondered for a while as well, but eventually laid his hand down. Bentley now took his bet back, and Grigg folded giving the pot to Truong.

After the hand was over the tournament director told Bentley he would receive a one-round penalty for acting out of turn. Bentley stood up from the table, and quietly sat out his punishment.
