Grigg Hits His Only Out

Tom Grigg
Tom Grigg

Tom Grigg just hit a miracle card in order to knock out his opponent. The six of clubs was the only possible card that could help him, in a pot that went down like that.

Brendon Rubie raised it up to 2,500, and Grigg called as did three other players among which both blinds. The flop came down {4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, and the action was checked to Grigg. Grigg fired out 6,200, and the player in the small blind gave him action. He moved all in for around 22,000 more, and the other players folded. Grigg called as soon as the action got back to him.

"I got one out," Grigg said as he tabled his hand upon seeing his opponent's cards.

The turn was the {10-Hearts}, and the table roared when the dealer put out the {6-Clubs} on the river. Grigg hit a straight flush and beat his opponent's nut flush.

"Well that's not gonna happen for another year," Rubie laughed as Grigg started stacking his newly won chips. Grigg is one of the chip leaders, and up to around 220,000 chips.
