Jonathan Karamalikis Eliminated in 9th Place (NZD$10,280)
On the 18th hand of the 2011 APPT Queenstown Main Event final table we have lost our first player, with Jonathan Karamalikis the person heading to the rail in 9th place.
Karamalikis was UTG +1 when he woke up with and with his relatively short-stack he decided to shove all-in for around 80,000 over the top of an 11,000 chip open from Daniel Laidlaw. The play was sent flying back around to Laidlaw and Karamalikis was unlucky to have him wake up with as Laidlaw snapped Karamlikis off.
The board ran out with no changes to the hand, the sending the 2010 APPT Sydney Grand Final Champion out the door and adding NZD$10,280 to his almost $1,200,000 in live tournament earnings.
