Grigg Grinning

On the outer tables at the other end of the casino there has been a slew of bust-outs in the first few minutes of play and it is Tom Grigg who is fairing the best after all the action .

We caught the action with a flop showing {j-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Grigg leading out from the big blind position for 3,850. Joel Dauglin then made the call from under the gun and Jeff Bucher then announced he was all-in from the button. Without too much hesitation, Grigg then announced he was also all-in. If this wasn't an action packed hand yet, it was about to be as Douaglin then also announced he was all-in.

Bucher tabled {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for top-pair but would be crushed by Douaglin who turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top-top. Grigg would need an even better hand if he was going to take down the big pot and when he turned over {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for flopped-set it was looking good for Grigg to become today's new chipleader.

The turn and river bircked out and Grigg said with a smile, "Nice start."
