Chen Setting up an Early Start

It didn't take long for Victor Chen to see his stack increase exponentially and we caught all the action.

It was a raised pot between Chen and one opponent which saw a {J-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop hit the felt, at which point Chen led for 625. His opponent thought for a few moments before making it 1,050 more to go.

Chen counted out his stack and then threw out another raise, before his opponent sent out yet another raise. At this points Chen was only left with five chips - albeit five of the largest denomination chips - as he played with his remaining 25,000 while contemplating his next move. After a few minutes in the tank, Chen flung out his 25,000 and his opponent looked pained as he watched them hit the felt.

After another couple of minutes, Chen's opponent slid his stack in and cringed when Chen table {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for top-set, which was well ahead of his two-pair with {j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}.

The turn and river bricked out as Chen took down the huge pot to become an early chip leader, while his opponent was left with only a few thousand chips.
