Borg Busto
David Borg has been one player that has enjoyed his journeys across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand.
Over the past three years, Borg has made the trip to participate in the New Zealand Poker Championships held down in Christchurch, and although he stumbled this year just prior to the close of day one when he was eliminated by Cole Swannack, Borg's previous two events were extremely successful.
In 2008 Borg managed to sit atop the highly skilled field to capture the NZ$100,000 ($77,966) first prize before returning in 2009 to fall a gallant second to Soren Eriksen for a NZ$50,000 ($28,670) payday.
Unfortunately here in Auckland, Borg will be unable to replicate his Christchurch feats as he has just been eliminated.
Our PokerNews reporter got wind of the hand from a fellow tablemate of Borg's and detailed that on a flop of , Borg's opponent bet-called a raise from Borg as a rolled off on the turn.
Donking out for 700, Borg made it 2,500, only to be met with a three-bet to 6,200. Borg moved all in for roughly 15,000 and his opponent made the call.

With Borg holding the nuts, he would unfortunately see the roll off on the turn to see his opponent take the lead with a full house and send the New South Welshman to the rail.
