A three-way pot contested among Raymond Wu, Wally Sombero and a third player had some confusing action on the flop. Wu had first action with the board reading and checked. The big blind bet 5,000, a single yellow chip. Action moved to Sombero. He paused, then slammed 3,300 into the middle.
It was unclear whether Sombero hadn't seen the initial bet and thought it might be part of the pot. The dealer corrected his error, instructing Sombero to put 5,000 chips in the pot. He did so, and Wu folded.
On the turn the big blind jammed for 20,900. It was a bet with a meaning and accomplished its purpose -- Sombero folded.
