Darkhan Botabayev Eliminated in 4th Place ($166,497)

Darkhan Botabayev - 4th Place
Darkhan Botabayev - 4th Place
Daoxing Chen raised to 200,000 from the small blind before Darkhan Botabayev announced he was all in from the big blind for around 1 million chips. Chen quickly called.

Chen: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Botabayev: {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The board brought a sweat but ultimately missed Botabayev when it arrived {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Chen embraced his opponent in a great act of sportsmanship as Botabayev is eliminated in 4th place for a very nice pay day of $166,497.

It's Getting Worse

Despite the warning that the players were just given, Daoxing Chen tanked on two separate streets in the last pot against Dermot Blain. Blain opened from the button with a raise to 210,000. Once Mike Kim folded, Chen tanked almost two minutes before calling.

Both players checked the {6-Clubs} {j-Clubs} {7-Spades} flop. Chen also checked the turn {10-Spades}. Blain took that as an opportunity to bet 275,000. Again Chen tanked. Apparently TD Danny McDonagh had enough. After about ninety seconds he clocked Chen, drawing a snap-fold.

Play Resumes

Cards are back in the air. The players have been warned that if they continue to take long amounts of time to act they will be permanently clocked and receive a decreasing bank of time to act with each decision.

Botabayev Taking Tips from Chen

For once, it wasn't Daoxing Chen who spent a long time in the tank. Chen limped into the pot from the small blind, inducing a raise by big blind Darkhan Botabayev to 210,000. Chen's response after some consideration was to re-raise to 710,000. That was a re-raise that caused a long pause for Botabayev. It was well more than five minutes when Mike Kim finally requested a clock be called. With ten seconds left on the clock, Botabayev folded.

Chen showed pocket aces.

Kim Clips Chen

In a limped pot, three players went to a flop of {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Action was checked to Daoxing Chen who fired 150,000. Dermot Blain folded from the small blind but Mike Kim called in the big blind.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} and both players checked before the {5-Clubs} landed on the river. Again both players checked and Kim tabled {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the best hand to take down the pot.

Chen Pushes the River

If anybody has the ability to snap this final table out of its funk, it's Daoxing Chen. He raised preflop and was called by small blind Darkhan Botabayev. Each player checked the {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} flop. On the turn {6-Diamonds}, Botabayev bet 200,000 and Chen called.

The river fell {3-Hearts}. Botabayev slowed down and checked, prompting Chen to stand and dramatically declare all in. Botabayev couldn't muck fast enough, to the delight of Botabayev's supporters in the gallery.
