Steicke Desacralized
After having chipped up to as high as 125,000 earlier in the day, Steicke was knocked down to 8,000 in chips before suffering the fatal blow at the hands of William Busine.
In the hand that crippled Steicke, he opened for a raise from middle position holding and small blind Stephen Chan moved all in over the top for 12,000. Steicke made the call and found himself up against Chan's Big Slick, which held solid when the board filled out .
Left with just 8,000 after that pot, Steicke chipped up to 9,900 before moving all in from under-the-gun holding . Busine made the call with pocket threes and the two were off to the races.
The board had filled out by the turn, giving Steicke two pair, but Busine managed to spike a three on the river for a set to send Steicke to the rail.
