A year later it would be Mansour Matloubi, a name a little less familiar to most, who took down poker's biggest title with his win in the 1990 WSOP Main Event. Matloubi was born in Iran but now resides in London, England. He was the first non-American to win the big dance, and continues to promote the expansion of the game of poker as it evolves in the Asian regions.
