Massive Messo Double

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Gabriel Messo has just doubled up in a big hand against Luke Spano.

The hand started with Spano opening the button to 55,000. Messo then three-bet all in for 594,000 from the big blind. Spano snapped it off and Messo was at risk.

It was a classic race, with Messo holding {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} against Spano's {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts} board was safe for Messo and with that, Messo is now up in the million-chip club.

Final table bubble continues.

Robert Damelian Eliminated in 11th Place ($11,400)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Robert Damelian is the latest casualty as we’re now on the bubble of the final table.

Damelian’s last hand came when he moved all in from mid-position for 227,000 holding {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}. action folded to Cameron Bryce in the big blind who asked for a count before committing to a call with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Damelian would need some help to stay alive, but it didn’t arrive on the board of {10-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Damelian is out, and with that elimination, just ten players remain!

GooGie Bullies His Table

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Edison Nguyen has more than doubled his stack over the last twenty minutes and at no point was he all in and at risk. Instead, he just chipped away at his table, bullying his opponents and barely going to showdown. With most of the chips on the other table, and his table having the short stacks, Nguyen is obviously exploiting this and is really starting to build a stack.

Rickhuss Doubles Through Bryce

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Wayde Rickhuss has doubled up!

It started with Cameron Bryce opening it up to 50,000 from the hi jack. Rickhuss then three-bet all in for 200,000 from the small blind. The action flew back to Bryce and he tank-called, leaving himself with 270,000 behind.

Rickhuss was in good shape with his {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} ahead of Bryce's {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades} - safe for Rickhuss.

Joe Reina Eliminated in 12th Place ($11,400)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Joe Reina and Dennis Huntly have been quietly minding their own business for most of today while players drop away around them, but the two have just collided in the biggest pot of the tournament to leave left Reina heading for the rail.

The action erupted on an action flop of {5-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} after Reina had defended his big blind with {5-Spades}{3-Spades} for two pair, but that was virtually dead to Huntly’s {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for top set!

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and river the {2-Diamonds} as Reina was bounced out in 12th place as Huntly becomes our new chip leader with around 1.8 million in chips! Reina picks up $11,400 for his result.

Peter Skouteris Eliminated in 13th Place ($9,300)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

We are down to 12 players as Peter Skouteris has been eliminated 13th place.

The final hand of Skouteris' tournament began when Gabriel Messo opened it up to 35,000 from early position. Skouteris was in the cut off and three-bet all in for 260,000. Messo made the call and Skouteris was at risk.

Skouteris: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Messo: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} board brought no help for Skouteris. He picks up $9,300 for that result.

Paul Wilcock Eliminated in 14th Place ($9,300)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Paul Wilcock has been eliminated in 14th place and Luke Spano has increased his chip lead!

Wilcock was short stacked and in the big blind when he three-bet jammed all in with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Luke Spano was his lone opponent and he put Wilcock at risk with his {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop gave Spano a flush draw and the {9-Spades} sealed the deal and left Wilcock drawing dead.

For his 14th place finish, Wilcock picked up $9,300. One more elimination is needed before the next payjump and a guaranteed five-figure score.
