Great Start for Diddy
It's been a great start for Didier Guerin, not only here on Day 1a of the ANZPT Perth Main Event, but also after a recent runner-up finish in the $1,100 Six-Max side event earlier this evening.
Guerin recently told us how he managed to move his stack over 60,000 not long after he sat at the tables.
Apparently Guerin opened to 500 and got called in two spots, including the small blind.
On the flop, It was checked to Guerin who bet 1,400. The next player to act popped it to 4,000 and the small blind flat-called. Guerin then made it 11,000 to go, having started the hand with 22,000. The previous agressor called, while the small blind moved all in for a little less than Guerin's stack. Guerin then moved all in and the next player called, putting Guerin at risk.
Guerin had for the nut straight and was up against for two pair and for top pair, the nut flush draw, and gut-shot Broadway draw.
Guerin managed to fade the turn and river and tripled his stack.
