First Chop

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded around to Dominik Nitsche in the cut-off, who bet out 50,000 in chips. Denish Alt called from the small blind, before both players faced a re-raise from Michael Fadersen for his remaining 244,000 in chips. Nitsche folded, but Alt called, as both players tabled their cards.

Alt: {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Fadersen: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Both players showed the same hands, as the board ran out {3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to see the chips distributed back evenly.

Jones Making a Turn

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Donald Jones opened from the hijack with a bet of 55,000 in chips. Denish Alt called from the big blind, as both players saw the flop come {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The both checked as the {J-Hearts} fell on the turn. Alt checked his option, before Jones threw in a bet of 60,000 in chips. Alt thought for a moment before raising to 150,000, and was met with an instant raise to 265,000 in chips. Alt didn’t want any part of it, as he mucked his cards.

Divkovic Loses Some Chips

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

With a board reading {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, both [Removed:480] and Denish Alt checked their options. Dominik Nitsche was on the button, and bet out 60,000 in chips. Divkovic then re-raised to 132,000 in chips, which forced a fold from Alt. Nitsche didn’t hesitate, as he moved all in for an additional 362,000 in chips and was called.

Divkovic: {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Nitsche: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Both players had a draw, with Nitsche drawing to the higher flush. Divkovic was unable to pair up as he gave up a portion of his stack.

Fadersen Falling

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The hand was caught with a flop showing {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. [Removed:480] checked as Michael Federsen bet out 70,000 in chips. David Campion made the call from late position as Divkovic got out of the way. The {K-Spades} came on the turn, and Fadersen check-called a 100,000 chip bet. When the river brought the {6-Spades}, Federson checked, as Campion threw out another 100,000 chip bet. Federsen snap-called and instantly tabled his {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} for what he thought was the best hand. Campion casually turned over his {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for the best hand, but to the disappointment of Fadersen.

The rich get richer. [Removed:480] is sitting on a stack just short of 4 million in chips after clashing with the second biggest stack on the table, belonging to Gary Benson.

The hand started with Divkovic opening to 40,000 from the hijack. Benson called from the big blind as both players saw the flop come {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Benson checked before Divkovic threw out a 45,000 continuation bet. Benson then re-raised to 125,000, which was met with another re-raise to 207,000 in chips. Benson called as the {Q-Clubs} fell on the turn. Benson once again checked, as Divkovic threw out another bet, totalling 219,000 in chips. The bet was called as the {J-Clubs} completed the board. Benson this time led out for 250,000 in chips and was met with a quick all in call from Divkovic, for 2,400,000 in chip. Benson tanked for a minute before folding his cards.

“One for the rail,” yelled a spectator observing the play.

As requested, Divkovic tabled {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a bluff as the crowd erupted at what they saw. Benson was in shock, as he stood up from the table to receive some comfort from his rail.
