Bubble Burst, 15 in the Money

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The bubble has burst and sadly its one of the locals as Karl Radel is the official APPT Queenstown bubble boy.

Action folded to Daniel Laidlaw on the button who clicked it up to 8,000. Radel moved all in for around 45,000 from the small blind but Laidlaw quickly called. They held back their cards until the other table completed their action, but when Radel already knew his {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} was in trouble as Laidlaw opened {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

The flop was a bare {10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} but the {10-Diamonds} turn brought the possibility of a chop. It wasn’t to be as the {7-Diamonds} completed the board to leave Radel, who won the very last satellite here at SKYCITY Queenstown, to depart empty-handed.

The remaining 15 players were happy to be in the money, but Chiu Yeung Lee seemed particularly relieved as he walked over to Laidlaw to personally thank him for popping the bubble.
