The Bluffer and the Station
Level 2
: 100/200, 0 ante
"Never bluff a station," said Michael Fadersen after he scooped up a pot holding on a board. Fadersen's opponent, and the so-called "bluffer" was Jackson Zheng.
We arrived at the hand in question on the turn and with both players having committed 600 into a pot of over 1,000. On the river, Zheng checked and Fadersen bet 1,000. Back on Zheng and he raised it up to 3,200. Fadersen took a few moments of thought here before calling and tabling his hand, which was enough to send Zheng's into the muck.
Zheng has had a deep run here in Queenstown in the past, finishing 10th in 2011. Fadersen has had more recent success on the ANZPT, finishing 5th in the 2013 ANZPT Sydney Main Event.
