Six Figures for Bragouits on Day 1b of ANZPT Auckland
The first stop on Season Six of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour continued today as Day 1b of the ANZPT Auckland Main Event took place.
There were a total of 66 entrants and at the end of the day just 32 remained. It was a roller coaster day of action as players such as Miroslav Sheynin, Koray Turker and Daniel Levy fought it out for the chip lead all day. However, in the end a late surge from Anesone Bragouits would see him end up with 106,600 in chips and enough to be the leader. That stack make Bragouits the only player to reach six-figures in the tournament so far.
We mentioned that Sheynin was one of the chip leaders throughout the day, but unfortunately for him some late trouble would see him on the rail. Some of the others who joined Sheynin on the rail throughout the day include Graeme Putt, [Removed:17], Mishel Anunu and this year’s ANZPT Queenstown champion, Jono Bredin.
Turker and Levy were able to do what Sheynin could not and made it through to Day 2, along with players such as Cole Swannack, Slade Fisher and Erich Stadler. Be sure to check out all the end-of-day 1b chip counts in the live reporting blog below.
Tomorrow is the final Day 1 flight of the ANZPT Auckland Main Event and we expect a jam-packed poker room here at the SKYCITY Auckland Casino. We will once again be providing live updates of all the action, so be sure to join us from 12.30 p.m. local time. Until then, poker fans!
