"Crazy French Guy" Moving Up the Leader Board

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Nicolas Oger has just taken a chunk out of Anesone Bragouits to dent the moment of the runaway chip leader.

We arrived on the flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades} to see action checked to Bragouits in position. He made it 3,000 to go but Oger check-raised to 8,000 from the blinds. Action folded to Bragouits who quickly called as the {8-Diamonds} appeared on the turn.

Oger continued to tell the story with another bet of 8,000. Bragouits wasted no time in calling as the {7-Spades} completed the board. Oger slowed down and tapped the table as Bragouits tossed out a bet of 15,000. This represented a fair whack of Oger’s remaining stack but he decided to make the call.

Bragouits opened {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pair of nines as Oger gave a fist pump of delight as his {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} had his opponent out-kicked.
Bragouits drops back to 130,000, as Oger, who described himself as the “crazy French guy”, is now up to a healthy 90,000 in chips.
