Harji Goes Deep into Break

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Pravin Harji barely got a break compared to the rest of the players in the field, but he won't be too upset as the hand he played almost 8 minutes into the break saw him add some chips to his stack.

It started with Harji opening from under the run with a raise to 800. Cole Swannack called before a third player raised from the hijack position to 2,100. Harji called and Swannack came along to see a flop of {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Action checked to the player in position who continued with a bet of 3,600. Harji called as Swannack kicked his cards back to the dealer with a sigh of frustration.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and both players checked as the {7-Hearts} completed the board. Harji reach for 6,000 chips and splashed them into the middle before rocking back in his chair and putting on his headphones. By this stage the rest of the table had gone on break, but Harji’s opponent made the call, only to muck when Harji showed a rather creative {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

“I think he had a big pair there,” chuckled Harji to the dealers he is now up to 60,000 in chips.
