Matusik Drops Fast

Peter Matusik was up to 1.5 million at one point during this final table, but he's down to under a million after just losing a pot to Michael Guzzardi.

Guzzardi raised to 45,000 from the cutoff after which Matusik called on the button.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and both players checked. On the turn the {A-Hearts} hit, and Guzzardi check-called 55,000.

The river brought the {7-Diamonds} and Guzzardi checked again. Matusik bet 100,000 and Guzzardi snap-called. Matusik showed the good old {6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, as he was playing the board. Guzzardi showed {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and took down this important pot.

Play is Slow

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The final table action hasn't been filled with fast paced action to say the least. It's awfully quiet, and players seem tired after the grueling day they played yesterday. The pots are small so far, and we will stay on the lookout for some excitement!

Matusik Pressures Hockin

Peter Matusik raised under the gun to 42,000 after which Paul Hockin three-bet to 85,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, and Matusik called.

The flop brought out {9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Matusik checked. Hockin bet 105,000, and Matusik quickly responded by check-raising to 275,000. Hockin took another look at his cards and tossed them into the muck.

Lo Giudice Misses Out On Double Knock Out

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Lo Giudice just missed out on a massive pot which could've brought us down to seven players. Paul Hockin raised under the gun to 32,000 after which Lo Giudice made the call. Michael Guzzardi moved all in, and Ismail Ismail risked all his chips from the big blind. Hockin had folded out of turn, and the action was now on Lo Giudice. He tanked for a long time, but eventually folded his {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} face up.

Michael Guzzardi{A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Ismail Ismail{A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}, and Lo Giudice would've knocked out two players if he would've called. The pot was chopped up, and nine players remained.

Hockin Folds The Turn

On a {J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop Igal Augarten checked from the small blind to Paul Hockin who bet 43,000. Peter Matusik called from the button, and Augarten folded.

On the turn the {7-Diamonds} hit, and Hockin check-folded to a 95,000-chip bet. Matusik raked in this pot while things are still pretty slow here at the final table. We are yet to see a river card or a pre flop three-bet.

Warner Picks Up One

After a few small pots it was Michael Guzzardi who raised to 31,000 from under the gun plus one. The action was folded to chip leader Ashley Warner who called on the button. Both blinds folded.

The flop brought out {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}, and Guzzardi bet 42,000. Warner called, and the turn was the {A-Diamonds}.

Guzzardi checked to Warner who fired out 67,000 and the initial raiser folded.
