Allan At His Lowest

David Allan is now sitting with just around 20 big blinds - the lowest amount of chips he has had during the heads-up play. This is all because Allan just lost a couple of hands that played out like this.

The first one saw Allan limp the button and Ken Demlakian check the big blind. Allan then check-called a bet of 30,000 on the {2-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {a-Spades} flop. Both players opted to check the {5-Clubs} turn and the {k-Clubs} river and Allan said "four". Demlakian tabled {9-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} at this point, with his wheel enough to rake in the pot.

The next hand saw Allan limp the button again. Demlakian checked and a {7-Spades} {10-Spades} {8-Hearts} flop was spread along the felt. Demlakian opted to check-call a 40,000-chip bet here and both players checked the {6-Clubs} turn. Demlakian led for 85,000 on the {10-Clubs} river and Allan called. At showdown, Allan mucked when Demlakian turned over {9-Hearts} {4-Clubs} for a ten-high straight.
