Richardson’s Boat Sinks on the River

Ben Richardson has had a rough end to the day after being forced to fold on the river after flopping a full house. The board read {8-} {4-} {8-} {Q-} {8-} with three players getting to that point after each paid 1,100 on the flop, before action was checked around on the turn.

Richardson was in the big blind holding pocket fours and he watched as the river was another eight to chew up his hand, with his deceptive full house now pretty much worthless. He checked, one player bet 2,200 and the other called, making it an easy fold for Richardson. One player showed pocket nines to take the pot with the caller tabling an ambitious pocket threes.

Richardson could only laugh as he ends a frustrating day with a stack of around 13,000. At this point, most of the tables started bagging up the chips.
