"paulinhoo00" Wins WPT DS #15 - $1,000,000 Main Event ($233,705)
After a little more than seven and a half hours of Day 2 play, "paulinhoo00" has won the WPT Deepstacks London Main Event for $233,705. All the Day 1s combined for a total field of 1,087, and that meant the guarantee was bested with $1,087,000 in the prize pool. Just 177 players bagged Day 2 stacks to sit down for today's final day, and "paulinhoo00" bested them all.
"paulinhoo00" got to the win on the back of a huge cooler three-handed when their jacks got there against the aces of "AllanSheik". "AllanSheik" had both players covered in the hand that saw the ace-king of "SteliosCy" crushed by two pocket pairs for third place.

Day 2 Action
Action for Day 2 of WPT DS #15 - $1,000,000 Main Event got underway at 2 p.m. eastern time today with 177 players bagging a Day 2 stack. There were a total of 1,087 entries through the Day 1 flights, made up of 973 unique entries with 114 rebuys. That put $1,087,000 into the prize pool and meant 100 players would split that money.
It looked good at the start of the day for the team of ambassadors from 888poker, with three bagging Day 2 stacks. Sofia "sofialovgren" Lovgren wasn't able to make it into the money, but Chris "888Moorman" Moorman cashed in 77th for $2,718, while Dominik "888Dominik" Nitsche made it all the way to the final table, falling in 8th place for $21,740. Former Main Event champion Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson also managed to cash, as did Ben "xLIVEPROx" Warrington.
The final table took a bit more than two hours to play out, and it almost ended three-handed when chip leader "AllanSheik" found what seemed like a dream spot. He had the most chips, pocket aces, and both shorter stacks all in. "SteliosCy" had ace-king and busted right there, but the jacks of "paulinhoo00" flopped a full house for a huge triple into the lead.
"paulinhoo00" took a huge lead into heads up, and while "AllanSheik" chipped up a bit, it all ended in another huge cooler. Once again, "paulinhoo00" had jacks, but this "AllanSheik" had tens. There was no miracle ten for "AllanSheik" and they finished in second for $130,440, while "paulinhoo00" bagged $233,705 for the win.
