The big day is finally here, and it's almost time for Day 2 of the WPT DS #16 - $1,000,000 Main Event. Action gets underway at 2 p.m. with 177 players remaining from the original field of 973 unique entries and 114 rebuys. That means they'll be playing for the $1,087,000, slightly above the guarantee.
Day 1 action ended after 12 levels of play, so Day 2 gets started in Level 13 with blinds at 1,000/2,000/250. They'll play 20 minute levels throughout the day until a Main Event winner is decided. A total of 100 players will share in the prizes.
Leading the way is the winner of WPT DS #9 - $100,000 Marathon, "DeuceofDuc0", who brings almost 200,000 into Day 2. Also among the top ten to start Day 2 is winner of WPT DeepStacks #7 - $100,000 Crazy 8, "crimson92", with a bit more than 140,000. Also among the Day 2 players are three 888poker ambassadors, Dominik "888Dominik" Nitsche, Chris "888Moorman" Moorman, and Sofia "sofialovgren" Lovgren, as well as a former ambassador and WSOP Main Event winner Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson.
