They check-called for 42,187, then money went in on the {6-Spades} river with "JohanSchultz" holding {a-Spades}{5-Spades} against the jacks for "DosPoochies". The {10-Hearts} river bricked for "JohanSchultz" and they were off to the rail for $3,220.

"Gprovinz6" Leads the Way to Final Table of WPTDS #1 - $200,000 Opening Event

It's time to decide a winner in WPTDS #1 - $200,000 Opening Event. Day 1 played down in a bit more than six hours, going from 293 entries down to the final nine players before they quit for the night.

That set up today's final table which will be streamed on 888pokerTV with hole cards on a 30-minute delay. There is still almost $140,000 of the $200,000 prize pool remaining to be handed out today, even while the majority of the 48 cashers have already pocketed their money.

There is more than $40,000 for the winner today, while everyone returning to the final nine is guaranteed to make at least $3,220. Fifth place will take home $11,180, which is the first payout that caps the $10,000 level.

The player with the best chance to take the win today is "Gprovinz6" from Germany. They had a rollercoaster night on Day 1, but ended the night on a big high, knocking out two players on the final hand of the night, bringing the field from 11 to 9 when they woke up with aces with two shorter stacks all in.

That propelled them to the chip lead and nearly 2 million chips going into Day 2, but they'll have competition from "Tedson89" and "korpisoturi2", both of whom come to the final table with more than a million chips.
