Final Table Action

The final table set a quick pace from the very start with the first casualty of the day taking place within the first ten minutes. Romania's "ingeruRO14" was eliminated in eight place when their pocket fives ran into the pocket jacks of "haha_mUCK_IT".

It was "muchbetter07" who leveraged the chip lead from the very beginning to pull away from the pack. They extended their lead even further by knocking out "arquandel1" of Romania in seventh place when their jack-seven got there on the river versus the ace-seven of "arquandel1".

From there, the Brazilian showed no signs of slowing down, using timely aggression to apply ICM pressure on his opponents. "Streusalz" of Germany was the next victim, who was sent to the rail in sixth, when they were short-stacked and all in with ace-eight against the jack-seven of "muchbetter07". The chip leader found a seven on the flop and added another bounty to their collection.

Not long after, "muchbetter07" would go on to knock off another opponent, Montenegro's "lperenoei13". Not letting off the gas, "muchbetter07" open shoved preflop with ace-four and "lperenoei13" woke up with pocket kings, but an ace fell on the flop. "lperenoei13" was eliminated in fifth and "muchbetter07" redeemed the biggest bounty remaining, good for $3,000.

"Ogame22" of Mexico was next to exit in fourth, when he ran head first into the pocket aces of "gifu15", who had been flying under the radar up until that point. Still sitting with a dominant chip lead three-handed, "muchbetter07" wasted no time in seeking out his next target. They got it all in preflop with ace-three versus the king-jack of "haha_mUCK_IT", and held to send the Ukrainian packing in third place.

Entering heads-up play, "muchbetter07" held more than a three-to-one chip lead over his opponent, "gifu15". It only took a few hands before the two found themselves all in, when "gifu15" min-raised on the button and "muchbetter07" jammed. With the tournament on the line, "gifu15" made the call with king-jack, running into the king-queen of "muchbettor07". The board ran out clean and "muchbetter07" captured the last two bounties in play to cap off a commanding performance.

That wraps up coverage of the $215 Mystery Bounty Main Event here at the PokerNews Online Championship. Be sure to follow PokerNews for future events all around the globe.
