XL Winter Main Event Sets Up Day 2
Players have been duking it out for a couple of weeks trying to earn Day 2 seats in the $500k XL Winter Series Main Event and the day to make money is finally here. There are still a few Day 1 flights playing out as the Day 2 start time approaches, but with nearly 1,900 entries as Day 2 approaches, the game is just off its $500k guarantee.
With more than an hour to go till cards go in the air on money day, there are almosy 350 players set to return for the second day of action. "R2Rka" from Ukraine is leading the way into Day 2 with more than 231k and is the only player to bag more than 200k in virtual chips so far. The UK's "BombayBG" is second with 182k while Romania's "RazvyB" has about 170.5k for Day 2 action.

Three members of Team888 have already made it to Day 2. Josh "Josh_Manley" Manley, Ian "simpioni" Simpson, and Vivian "vivi.888." Saliba have all already booked stacks for Day 2 and no doubt other Team888 members are playing final flights.
The Day 2 action gets going at 3 pm ET with play starting in Level 19 and blinds at 1,250/2,500/300. Day 2 will conclude when there are 9 players left, with the final table scheduled to play out on Jan 31 at 2 pm ET. The final table action Tuesday will be streamed on 888pokerTV with cards-up action on delay.
