Event #126 - $5,200 XL Eclipse Super High Roller ($500k GTD)
Day 1 Completed
Players started the tournament with 20,000 chips and had the option to do a rebuy in the case of losing all their chips. At the end of the registration period, there were 87 players and 37 rebuys to create a total prize pool of $620,000 which was divided by the last 12 players.
Long before the money was reached players like Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov, Robin "Inho" Ytalo, Chris "888Moorman" Moorman, Niklas "tutten7" Astedt and Sofia "sofialovgren" Lovgren were all busted from the tournament.
Before the bubble came in sight, the tournament lost Simon "Isildur1337x" Mattson, "AriGold17" and "MindSyntax". On the bubble, "d1sclosure" lost with his ace-jack against pocket tens and he was the last player to leave the tournament empty-handed.
The final table was reached after a short while, with the elimination of Johan5390 in ninth place. In quick succession, Mike "SirWatts" Watson (eigth, $21,700), "AceSpade11" (seventh, $26,350) and "Kannwas" (sixth, $32,5500) busted. From that moment, it was a long grind with the final five players. In the end, "Zebest7r" was sent to the rail after losing with jack-ten against ace-jack.
With four players remaining, Thomas "WushuTM" Muhlocker became the shortest stack. After a while he was all in with jack-eight against queen-nine and lost the hand. Muhlocker finished in fourth place for $58,900. Just a few minutes after that, "Biack88" went out in third place for $86,800, losing a coin flip with pocket fives against the ace-ten of chip leader "EvnomiYa".
"EvnomiYa" started the heads up with a big chip leader, but "spider4444" fought back in no-time. When he got back to even stacks, the two got in it with top pair. "spider4444" held the better kicker and that sealed the deal. He won the tournament for $170,500 while the Russian had to settle for second place and $114,700.
