Alien_Army Wins Almost $300,000

The inaugural 888poker XL Inferno Main Event, back in 2017, saw some impressive prizes awarded, including a pair of $200,000+ prizes in the $1,050 buy-in Main Event.

A field of 1,755 players competed for the title of champion, which eventually fell at the feet of Austria’s "Alien_Army" who walked away with $291,007. The Austrian defeated "stevachenko7" of the Czech Republic, who netted $226,717.

Two other finalists walked away with six figure prizes. Third-place finisher "sngguru" collected $166,549 while "sweet_dr34ms" helped themselves to a $119,340 prize.

JohnFoot as 2018’s Biggest Winner

There were similar prizes awarded in the 2018 XL Inferno Main Event with "JohnFoot" of the United Kingdom finding themselves $209,779 richer after outlasting a field of 1,159 to become the tournament’s champion.

JohnFoot defeated "wellyxx" of Finland heads-up; the Finn won a $150,670 consolation prize. Third place finisher "Lamcumir" of Latvia turned his $1,050 into $113,003, while the rest of the final table won between $14,835 and $84,607.
