Paul Nugent raised to 225,000 from under the gun, leaving himself with just 30,000 chips behind. Tobias Kirby reraised from the big blind and the rest of Nugent's chips went in the middle.

Paul Nugent: J10

Nugent found himself in an uphill battle and the flop of A66 was no help. The 2 on the turn gave a few chop outs but the 5 on the river was not meant to be for Nugent.

Jiaze Li shoved all in for the second hand in a row, this time for 345,000 from under the gun. Eliran Argelazi was in the small blind with 250,000 and used three of his time banks before calling off the last of his chips.

Eliran Argelazi: KJ
Jiaze Li: A10

The flop came KQ4 which gave Argelazi the lead with a pair of kings but Li picked up straight and flush draws. The 6 on the turn was a brick but the 7 on the river completed Li's flush and Argelazi was ousted.

Who Will Come Out on Top in the £1,100 Main Event?

888poker London
888poker London

A field of 385 entries has been brought down to just 15 players in their quest to capture the title in the £1,100 Main Event at the 2023 888poker Live London festival being held at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. The large majority of the £367,500 prize pool is still up for grabs but everyone will have their sights set on the £93,000 first-place prize.

Leading the way after an all-around complete performance on Day 2 is Hong Pham who built up a comfortable lead over the rest of her opponents. Pham has looked poised throughout the event thus far en route to bagging up a stack of 2,030,000 chips. Although her recent results only date back to 2021, Pham has appeared to be one of the most comfortable players on the felt when it matters most.

Not far off the pace is Francis Obadun who will be returning to a stack of 1,600,000 when the cards go back in the air. Obadun has proven to a be challenge for most of the field with an odd play style and plenty of table talk to go along with it. Tobias Kirby will be another one to watch for as he enters the final day in third place with a stack of 1,220,000. Kirby has been rather solid throughout and will hope to avoid the two big stacks on the other table until necessary.

The action is slated to resume at 12:00 p.m. local time with the blinds resuming on level 23 at 10,000/20,000 and a 20,000 big blind ante. The levels will continue to be 60 minutes in length with a 20-minute break after every two levels. Once the field is down to just five players, the levels will be reduced to 45 minutes once again.

Each player will be given a fresh stack of four time-bank cards at the start of the day that are worth 30 seconds apiece. The pay jumps will start to become more significant now with each elimination resulting in a ladder up the ranks. The final 15 players have all been guaranteed at least £4,050 thus far with nearly six figures up top first. The 888poker live stream will commence at the start of the day on Twitch on a 30-minute delay.

The PokerNews live reporting team will also be on the tournament floor to provide you with all of the updates and eliminations en route to crowing a new champion.
